GOALKEEPER Chris Maxwell has agreed a 12-month contract extension, which will keep him with Blue Square Premier outfit Wrexham until the end of next season.The current Wales under-21 stopper has enjoyed a good run in the side this year after spending half of last season at Gap Connah's Quay, where he made 16 Welsh Premier appearances. He returned to the Racecourse to play a number of games at the end of the campaign and, this season, has kept an impressive 10 clean sheets in 21 games, before Sam Russell returned to fitness. "I'm pleased to have been offered another deal and it didn't take make thinking about on my behalf to sign on again," he said. "I've enjoyed breaking into the first team this season and also being a regular with the under-21s. "Hopefully, the team will continue improving here and that I'll be able to play a part in that success." |
