| Holders Bangor face Prestatyn in semis |
| Saturday 27 February 2010 |
WELSH Cup holders Bangor City will face Prestatyn Town in the semi-finals after beating 10-man Llanelli 2-0 at Farrar Road. Jamie Reed gave the Citizens a sixth-minute from the penalty spot after Stuart Jones was red-carded by referee Mark Whitby for bringing down Ashley Stott when through on goal. And the Blues could have added further goals before Dave Morley finally settled the tie in stoppage time with an 18-yard shot that defeated Reds' keeper Ashley Morris from just outside the box. Bala Town will meet Port Talbot in the other semi-final, venues to be announced. Ties to be played on Saturday 10 April 2010. Photo: City's Chris Roberts salutes the fans [Phil Stead]. |
