| Llanelli can reclaim top spot at Druids |

LLANELLI can regain leadership of the Welsh Premier with a win at bottom club Elements Cefn Druids on Saturday. The Reds will be firm favourites to overcome the disappointment of last weekend's cup exit at Bangor, but manager Andy Legg has problems with central defender Stuart Jones suspended and both Jason Bowen and prolific striker Rhys Griffiths doubtful through injury. Rhyl and Neath meet in a fascinating clash at Belle Vue, with the Eagles struggling to qualify for Europe after garnering just 10 points from their last 10 games. Ashley Evans, Kris James and Luke Morgan are all suspended, while striker Andrew Hill is out for the season with knee trouble. Rhyl are still well placed for another European foray and manager Greg Strong says: "We’re in a good position in the league and we’ve got good young players here with big futures. "We’ve got nine cup finals to play between now and the end of the season - 10 if you include the League Cup final." Port Talbot and Carmarthen clash at the GenQuip Stadium in a fixture that has massive implications for both clubs - the visitors are in danger of missing out on next season's Super 12 while the Steelmen could still finish in the top three. "Carmarthen pose a great threat as they are unbeaten on the road in eight matches," says Talbot boss Mark Jones, who will again be without suspended leading scorer Liam McCreesh. "That's a terrific record and I feel they are in a false position in the league. But our home record is impressive too so it should be a cracking encounter." Old Gold manager Deryn Brace admits the game is crucial: "We are now in a dogfight, but I feel we have the calibre of player to get us into the top 10. But matches are beginning to run out," he commented. "Consistency has been missing but a few wins would send us on our way. Port Talbot will be difficult as they are playing really well." Fourth-placed Aberystwyth face a tricky mid-Wales derby test at Newtown, whose on-loan keeper Dave Roberts cannot play against his home club. "This month is massive for Newtown Football Club and our fate will largely depend on how many points we pick up in this period," says Robins' boss Darren Ryan. Airbus UK Broughton chief Craig Harrison is demanding focus for the visit of Caersws, who have won their last two games to move away from bottom spot. "Caersws beat us 2-0 at the Airfield last year and it was the worst we’ve played," said Harrison. "We have not been beaten now for three games but we can’t take Caersws lightly." Bangor welcome former player Huw Griffiths back to Farrar Road as they host Welshpool, while Porthmadog will be without Marcus Orlik for the visit of Haverfordwest to The Traeth.
