| Ludicrous dismissal for Woodward |
| Saturday 13 March 2010 |
|
MATTY Woodward was the victim of a ludicrous dismissal as Airbus UK Broughton drew 0-0 with Port Talbot Town. With the game at The Airfield in stoppage time, the Wingmakers were awarded a free-kick but, as Woodward shaped to take the set-piece, the ball rolled away from him in the strong wind. He picked the ball up to return to the correct position but was immediately shown a yellow card for time wasting by referee Carmelo Lo Faro despite his protestations and those of his team-mates. And, as Woodward had been cautioned earlier, he was sent-off. |
