THE Welsh Cup semi-finals will be staged at Park Avenue, Aberystwyth and Latham Park, Newtown on April 10 and 11. Bala Town meet Port Talbot in the first semi-final at Park Avenue on Saturday April 10 with a 2.30pm kick-off. The following day, Sunday April 11, will see holders Bangor City defending the trophy against Prestatyn Town at Newtown with a 1.15pm kick-off in a tie to be screened live by Welsh language broadcaster S4C. "It’s a good football stadium with one of the best football pitches in the League. We at Bangor, all have fond memories at Latham Park so we’re relishing the day already," said City boss Nev Powell, who lifted the trophy at Newtown two years ago, before winning it again last season. The semi-final winners will contest the 123rd final on Sunday May 2 at Llanelli's Parc y Scarlets. Photo: Nev Powell lifted the cup with Bangor at Latham Park two years ago. |
