Carl Owen's spot kick was brilliantly saved by Seasiders' keeper Steve Cann after Gareth Hughes had fouled Danny Desormeaux, but Luke Sherbon handled from the resulting corner and Andy Moran, who missed on opening day against Llanelli, made no mistake in first-half stoppage time. Moran also provided a ball over the top to put Carl Owen in for a cool finish to notch the Wingmakers' second goal soon after the break, and skipper Mark Allen sealed the verdict in the 65th-minute, although Aneurin Thomas scored a stoppage-time consolation for the visitors. In contrast, Bangor City's Dave Morley has scored three times from the spot in three games, handing Bangor City an early lead at home to Llanelli after Jamie Reed had been brought down by Stuart Jones. Reed added a second mid-way through the first-half against the injury-hit Reds as the Citizens maintained a 100% start to the season to go top. But Morley finally failed from the spot when a second penalty was well-saved by keeper Craig Richards, who also denied Andy Moran from the spot at Airbus on opening day. Newtown are the surprise package in second place after a 1-0 home win over Prestatyn Town with a superb 12th-minute strrike from defender Paul Keddle as Andy Cale's men remained unbeaten. But the game ended on a sour note for both sides with the dismissal deep into stoppage time of Robins' defender Michael Jackson and Town frontman Ian Griffiths, who had only been on the field 10 minutes.
