Tyrone KirkFORMER Rhyl winger Tyrone Kirk has returned to his roots with Stamford AFC.
The former Manchester City youngster and Scunthorpe United trainee was a cult figure at the Vic Couzens Stadium during two successful seasons with the Evo-Stik League outfit, before leaving to join Macclesfield Town in the Football League.
During a loan spell at Belle Vue last season, which later developed into a permanent move, the 24-year-old scored three goals from 24 (+3) Welsh Premier appearances.
Kirk is currently without a club despite interest from clubs in England and north of the border and will be available for the Daniels until able to secure a move to a higher-level.
Manager Simon Clark said: "Tyrone is a very good player and I’m pleased to have him at Stamford until he sorts out a contract with another club. I’m sure the supporters will be delighted."
Kirk is a former national award winner in the Nike Freestyle Soccer tournament and also had a spell with Boston United.
During his previous stay with Stamford he was named player of the year and made his Macclesfield debut in a Carling Cup tie against Leicester City.
