BALA Town have made two new signings on the Welsh Premier League's deadline transfer day.Josh Macauley (pictured), who spent some time in pre-season with Aberystwyth Town, joins from Tranmere Rovers where he made his debut in January 2009 against Carlisle United in a Football League One clash. A forward, 19-year-old Macauley also had a trial this summer with phoenix club Chester FC. Also arriving at Maes Tegid is forward/midfielder Paul ‘Charlie’ Ennis, who joins from Conference North side Stalybridge Celtic. The 20-year-old hails from Cheadle in south Manchester and worked his way through the ranks at Stockport County, getting as far as two first team appearances from the bench. He then joined Celtic for the run in until the end of the last season. Macauley is available for Tuesday night's League Cup clash with Prestatyn Town, while Ennis will not be available for selection until the weekend. |
