| Yet another new marksman for Preece |
| Tuesday 31 January 2012 |
AIRBUS UK manager Andy Preece has landed yet another striker on transfer deadline day.He has succeeded in prising former Caersws striker Neville Thompson away from Stafford Rangers, following the moves of Jonathon Bathurst and Mark Danks to The Airfield over the last 24 hours. The Wingmakers put in seven-days' notice of approach last week, but Rangers' boss Greg Clowes was hoping to persuade the player to remain at Marston Road. The 25-year-old is a former Shrewsbury Town youth who joined the Bluebirds on his release from the Gay Meadow in 2004 and scored nine goals from 22 (+9) appearances in the Welsh Premier before departing in 2007. He has since played for Newcastle Town and joined Stafford last July. Photo: Stafford Rangers celebrate a goal with Thompson (right). |
