FORMER Bala Town midfielder Josh Macauley has returned to the Welsh Premier by signing for Aberystwyth Town.A product of the Tranmere Rovers youth set-up where he made his first-team debut against Carlisle United in January 2009, the 20-year-old (pictured) also spent time on loan with Vauxhall Motors and Colwyn Bay during his time at Prenton Park. After scoring six goals from 16 (+10) Welsh Premier appearances, he left the Lakesiders to join Prescot Cables but is now an interesting addition to Alan Morgan's new-look squad at Park Avenue. In other deadline day deals, Bangor City have signed goalkeeper Kyle Clancy, whose previous clubs include Blackpool, Burton and Barrow. Goalkeeper Dave Burnett has returned to Port Talbot after a brief spell with Welsh League outfit Dinas Powys, while gloveman Aaron Morrison has followed his former manager Andy Preece from Northwich Victoria to Airbus UK Broughton. Carmarthen Town have loaned their former Aberystwyth and Neath midfielder Geraint Passmore to Welsh League Bridgend Town. |
