LLANELLI have made a late addition to their Europa League squad with the signing of experienced former Swansea City and Morecambe defender Michael Howard. Birkenhead-born Howard, 30, started his career with Liverpool and Tranmere Rovers, where he was a trainee, before making 222 Football League appearances for the Swans over six seasons. He joined Morecambe under manager Jim Harvey and spent six seasons on the Fylde coast, making 95 appearances, before a move to Oxford United on a short-term loan deal, appearing 17 times. Howard was released by the Shrimps at the end of the last season. Photo: Michael Howard celebrates a goal for Oxford United. |
