Welsh Premier League Football - City fight back to claim final spot

HOLDERS Bangor City fought back from a goal down to beat Bridgend Town 2-1 in the Welsh Cup semi-final at Aberystwyth's Park Avenue.
Fielding a starting line-up which incuded six players with previous Welsh Premier experience, The Welsh League outfit took the lead on 18 minutes.
A Bangor attack broke down and a long clearance found Raith Plant, who beat Michael Johnston's challenge before squaring for Rameer Outlow to net from eight yards.
The celebrations were barely over before Chris Seargeant levelled for the Citizens with a 20-yarder from Marc Limbert's free-kick, but it took a great save from Blues' keeper Paul Smith to keep out a Dale Raven shot that was headed for the top corner.
Keeper Brendan Cropley produced a great tip-over save to stop a Les Davies header from another Limbert set-piece and Town's hopes were finally ended on 76 minutes when sub Kieran Killackey drove the winner through a crowded box after the Bridgend defence had failed to clear Peter Hoy's long throw.
City will meet the winners of Sunday's semi-final between Aberystwyth Town and Carmarthen at Llanelli's Parc y Scarlets on Monday 4 May.
