Rhyl FC

Greg Strong

BOLTON-born defender Strong was named as Rhyl player-manager following the shock departure of Welsh Premier title winning coach Allan Bickerstaff in July 2009.
Strong is a former England schools and youth cap who started his career with Wigan Athletic in 1992.
After failing to establish himself in the first team at Bolton Wanderers, he moved north of the border to play for Motherwell.
On returning to England he was signed by Hull City, followed by loan spells with Cheltenham Town, Scunthorpe United, Bury and Macclesfield Town before moving north again to sign for Livingston in 2005.
Released in late 2006 by Dundee, he was signed by Halifax Town, later joining Northwich and then Rhyl in July 2008.
