Capped by Wales at senior and Under-21 level, Jones was one of several former Wrexham players at Cefn Druids before leaving the club, where he was joint manager with Waynne Phillips, in April 2010. Jones left the Racecourse for Liverpool in a £300,000 move where injuries limited his chance of progressing. Had a total of four spells at Wrexham, also playing for Crewe Alexandra, Barnsley and Tranmere Rovers, before signing for Caernarfon during 2004. Took over as joint caretaker manager with Kenny Irons on the departure of Waynne Phillips in September 2006 but left The Oval two months later to join the Druids, where he became joint manager in summer 2007. Retired from playing in September 2008 following a recurrence of a knee injury. |
