WPL career details for Nicky Ward

Newtown AFC
Utility man formerly with Wrexham and Shrewsbury who left Newtown to join TNS and play a part in the 2000 title win. More than 60 Welsh Premier goals for Newtown and TNS testify to his attacking instincts, but he was not offered terms by TNS for 2007/8. After a year in London where he signed for Welling United, he returned to the league with NEWI Cefn Druids in June 2008, moving back to Newtown in January 2009. Transferred to Bangor City a year later but made a surprise return to TNS in August 2011. Helped the club to a league and Welsh Cup double in 2011/12 but left by mutual consent in August and rejoined Newtown for a third time.
